Employer requires attached storage to use Bitlocker

I want to use the internal storage for file transfers. When I mount it remotely my work laptop requires Bitlocker to be enabled, which it completes sucessfully and is viewable as an attached drive.

However when I view the files through the app I see a bunch of random files related to Bitlocker, but not the files I'm trying to access. Does anyone know what I'm supposed to do?

If you plug a USB disk to your work laptop. will it have same behavior?

Yes it does.

And to clarify, the KVM storage works fine on the work laptop once complete. It shows up as a drive and I can copy files to it.

But when I unmount it and try to access the files I've copied from my work laptop using the virtual media feature, I see tons of bitlocker related files such as BitLockerToGo.exe, COV 0000.bl, COV 0000.er, PAD 0000.ng (hundreds).

So basically I think there might need to be a feature added to unlock a bitlocker encrypted drive using the password that's created when first initializing it.

Note: there is an option to mount it to my work laptop as read-only where it doesn't do any bitlocker stuff, but then I can only use it to transfer files to my work laptop, not from it.

Under such circumstances, virtual media cannot function.
