eSIM terms mixed up

New Mudi v2 router. This page

says "GL.iNet offers both eSIM chip cards and physical eSIM cards, featuring identical product configurations and usage methods."

What about an embedded eSIM? I assumed the Mudi v2 had an embedded eSIM but now I wonder if I have to buy a physical eSIM card before downloading an eSIM profile. What is the difference between "eSIM chip card" and physical eSIM card?

"To streamline the production process and address the complexities of chip soldering in routers, GL.iNet has developed a plug-and-play physical eSIM card."

How does a plug-and-play physical eSIM card "streamline the production process? Has the physical eSIM card replaced the embedded eSIM?

No phyiscial eSIM card came with the router. Was I supposed to order that separately in order to download eSIM profiles to it? Because there is no embedded eSIM in the router?

Hi,

There is no esim chip built-in the Mudi. Please click here to purchase a physical card that supports esim features, and insert it to Mudi, and the esim features are available on Mudi, such as import the cellular operator profile.

I think there is basically no difference of esim chip and physical esim card, the profile can be managed through esim management of GL GUI.
