exFAT is still not working correctly with Macs

Router MT6000, firmware 4.6.6 OP24.

I have an external hard drive attached to routers USB port. I can see the files on the drive via MacBook, but I can't copy or move files on the drive it self. I can copy/move folders that are on the drive, but not the files inside the folders. Even files that are on main/root of the drive can't be moved or copied from one location to another location on the external drive.

Whats the solution?

exFAT does not work correctly with firmwares 4.6.8 OP21 and Beta 4.7.0 when using a Mac computer.

You can try to use third APP in Mac or format to ext4:

It can be read but cannot be written to the exfat format of Samba of OpenWRT, when connect with the Mac Folder as the Samba client.

This is because Mac Folder and SAMBA rely on kmod fs exfat (this plug-in will be called when using exfat format, and this plug-in is maintained by the OpenWRT community) for poor compatibility, this issue does not relate to the GL firmware.

Edit;

Ext4 works perfectly! I can't believe I didn't try it sooner.

Thank you very much!!

This is not the case with 4.6.8 on a MT6000. I had to go back to 4.6.6 op24 to get samba shares working for Mac and the USB drive in question is ext4. Whatever broke it after 4.6.6 op24 needs to be fixed.
