Would it be possible to add a new option for creating a VPN, specifically SSTP-client, as it is the only VPN that is difficult to restrict via a firewall (runs on port 443)? I bought a GL-BE3600 Slate 7 router, which I use on vacation. Everything works great and it is an amazing router. However, I am currently in a country where VPNs are quite restricted, and SSTP is currently the only VPN that works for me. I configured it via LUCI and it works reliably, but it is very impractical to constantly fiddle with the LUCI GUI, so I would welcome the option of managing it in the router's VPN Dashboard menu (GL-iNet - Admin Panel). SSTP is also one of the basic VPN settings on Windows...and internet providers have a problem blocking it in their firewalls... (WireGuard works well and reliably for me, but nothing works in this country).
Hi
Thanks for your suggestion. We'll discuss it with the product team.
However, considering SSTP is outdated, we're unlikely to implement it or will prioritize it low.
You might want to look into AmneziaWG instead.
It features obfuscation capabilities and can resist some levels of network censorship.
@will.qiu will obfuscation feature will come to openvpn as well?
This depends on whether OpenVPN implements obfuscation in the future.
If they do, we'd be happy to update the firmware to support it.
OK, I understand, I'm trying AmneziaWG and it's working quite well for me at the moment. I assume that AmneziaWG will be supported for all routers, including my Slate7. When can I expect a stable version with AmneziaWG integrated?
