Network port management appeared in firmware 4.7.0 (Flint 2). Thanks about this!
In this regard, I would like to make a request to expand the functionality of this management. I mean assigning a selected port to a guest network.
There was a guide on the forum on assigning ports via the Luci interface, but I would like to have such a function in the GL interface, accessible to less advanced users
A simple switch, and optionally allow/block the guest network to see devices in the main network, as well as a configurable ability to see a DLNA server in the main network from the guest network.
For example, to connect a corporate laptop. Work from home. And other employees connect to this laptop via a remote desktop. I would like to separate the home network. The solution through Windows policies is not suitable. This is a small example. One way or another, there are many scenarios for using a guest network via a LAN port.
well gl-inet doesn't give vlan control. So i could see this as a work-around to create a vlan style guest network that can also be used by hard lined devices. As it currently stands, the guest network is only available via WiFi.
