After a recent online update to my routers, I’ve been having issues connecting my Sonoff devices (e.g., DW2 WiFi). I’ve tried replicating my previous working setup by:
Setting WiFi mode to “g/n/ax”
Enabling “IGMP snooping”
Disabling “Allow legacy 802.11b rates”
Despite this, the devices still fail to connect. Below are the firmware versions of my current GL.iNet routers:
Please confirm that the SSID of 2.4G WiFi and 5G WiFi are not the same. If they are the same, please modify them to different ones.
Please share the issue syslog, confirm that Sonoff has entered the correct SSID and Key, and try connecting and export the logs, share with us. will try to check.
@bruce Could you please advise where I should send the log, here or privately? I have sent you message for the logs.
I’ve been using GL.iNet routers for many years, but this issue only started after I switched to the AX-1800 (Flint) model. Before that, I was using my ISP’s original router and never had this problem, though it didn’t allow me to modify the network SSID name as I wanted.
Since switching to the AX-1800, my Sonoff devices tend to become unusable after 4 to 6 months. Currently, I have 4 devices that are completely unresponsive and cannot be paired with eWeLink. I’ve tried both normal and compatibility pairing modes, but the devices never appear in the list for pairing.
I’m trying to identify the root cause. I suspect there may be some conflict or security issue involving Sonoff or the eWeLink platform—possibly even a network breach that is disabling the devices. I’m also starting to wonder if this could be intentional, maybe to force users to replace devices regularly for profit.
Do you have any insight into what might be causing this?
Please confirm your Sonoff MAC, when the DW2 connected to router, the GL GUI > Client is supposed to be displayed all online/offline clients and MAC, including the Sonoff DW2.
