Firmware rest gives generic drivers and slow speed

I recently had to reset my Flint 2. I followed the GL-iNet guide: Reset Firmware - GL.iNet Router Docs 4

This worked, but I noticed a significantly reduced internet speed (>500 Mbps slower). After some troubleshooting, I found that the firmware reset did not install the Mediatek drivers, instead it just shows generic drivers.

I contacted GL-iNet support asking how to re-install the Mediatek drivers, and they recommended to upgrade using the U-boot tool and this firmware:https://fw.gl-inet.com/firmware/mt6000/release/mt6000-4.8.3_release-877-1016-1760589400.bin?

I did this, and guess what? Still generic drivers instead of the Mediatek drivers. Still very slow wifi speeds.

Does anyone know how to re-install the Mediatek drivers?
