The router seems to work just fine. There is nothing in the logs about any error.
I don't have anything installed or modified. Only things are internet conncetion, wifi, VPN setup and parental control.
If i open the console in a browser and login or refresh a page, it show this message:
*Uncaught (in promise) * Object { type: "unknown", message: "Method not found", code: -32601 }
I don't know. it this means anything or is related to the error message.
Does someone else had this error? What can i do to get rid of that?
Factory reset does not helped. Normal and uboot tried.
I've reset my Flint 2 again (uboot)., setup internet, wifi, vpn and parental control.
At the moment the console within the browser shows no error.
(See my first post)
So i guess that it is not a general router problem, but a UI thing that has broken somehow.
I would rly like to know the cause of that.
Hello @xize11
thing is, that the router works just fine.
It came with 4.8.3 OpenWrt 21.02-SNAPSHOT and i am still with that.
After uboot, i've setup the router from scratch. No backup used.
I had this error on hardwired clients as i had it on wifi devices.
Could something break the UI that cause this error?
Right now, it does not give me an error and the browser console does not show an error as well.
It is not known to me, what I recommend if that happens is checking the logs or via a other device which still has access, you could also setup a static ip on your pc or phone to regain control over the web ui in case the dhcp server dies.
It could also be that the router gets out of memory especially with adguardhome and alot of lists this easily can happen.
@xize11
When i got that error message shown in the UI, i had full control over the web UI and have full access to it. As said, the router just works perfectly. The only hint was the error from firefox console.
All clients within my network have a static ip.
I use the router in a real "basic" config. No adguard or any other fancy stuff is running.
I also did not uninstalled or disabled anything.
@admon
No. I am running the stock 4.8.3 without any updates on preinstalled packages.
@will.qiu
Despite i don't feel comfortable with this cloud and remote stuff, i like to thank you for the offer.
Right now, i don't get that error, and what i have setup on the router just works.
I would like to leave it that way for a while and don't do any changes.
If i get that error again, i will get all logs from the router and that error message from the browser console, and would like to send this stuff to you, if that is okay?
If needed, we could try that remote investigation.
Yes, after the issue occurs again, you can also export the relevant logs and browser console information and send them to us via private message.
We can then determine whether remote access will also be needed for further investigation.
You’re not crazy. Mine has done this same thing for last 2 years when making any changes to the vpn wireguard settings. Just have ignored it as a gui flaw and rebooted
@will.qiu
Thank you again. I will come back to you with the logs if needed.
I really hope, that i don't need to.
@zahndok
Two years? I would go berserk if that thing welcomes me with an error every time i login.
Did a reboot helped in you're case? On mine, the error still came up even after reboot.
