Flint 2 connection speed is half mbps than isp router

Hi i have connected my flint 2 to my vodafone router. I have allowed port forwarding on vodafone router to my flint 2. But im getting 340mbps on my isp router and around 130mbps on my flint 2. Is this normal? I thought it would of been atleast close speeds to my isp router, this is all by wired enthernet connection with correct port forwarding.

PS. Also when i connect to the flint 2 wireguard host the speeds go down to around 50mbps

This can depend on the quality of the network aswell.

The distance in cable, and the cable quality itself, additional switches the quality of the ports.

How longer the distance the more overhead you create adding up to lower speed.

What type utp cable is it? how long is the distance?, are core cables not exposed? (Some think that is normal, but this causes issues 100% especially vulnerable to climate exposure).

Also if you add up a tunnel like wireguard it will be even more slower.

then there is also other devices which may can steal speed, note that wifi also have more priority than cable, with other words wifi can even bring down wired internet in extreme cases.

This is all the things you have to consider

Of course you can also go advanced and increase the jumbo frames like from wireguard to something like 1500mtu if that is allowed by the vpn and for wan aslong wireguard doesn't exceed wans mtu, the higher how faster but it can be tricky for now i think its really the quality here.

Hi thanks for your reply, if the issue is the utp cable wouldnt that mean my isp router speeds would also be less than what its showing as 340mbps?

If by use with the same cable no not really, only wireguard would slow it down, but that is only between isp modem and flint 2, the lan connected cables on flint 2 can also be the reason.

But if a cable has exposed cores you cannot valid test the speed in that case, you could test it with a different cable to ensure nothing is up with cable, since such cable also interfere with its position.
