Flint 2 - GL MT-6000 coverage

How many sq ft coverage has the Flint 2?

Hi,

  • Coverage of the router depends on your environment, like wall layout of the room or the house.
  • Anything devices interference close to the router.
  • Other devices occur the wireless frequency and cause massive quantity of the noise.

We could not guess or evaluate, have to try it by yourself.

Isn't this something that could be tested? It would be nice to get a general idea of coverage.

Obviously real world / environment will differ but even if you ran the same calculations based on what Ubiquti, TP-Link etc do when they calculate their radios then that would give a general idea of how good/weak the WiFi could potentially be.

I know paper vs reality is different but we seem to have estimated figures for throughput of VPN etc so I can't see why WiFi range estimated figures can't be added to the spec sheets.

It is no problem to calculate the theoretical coverage in an open space environment.
The only thing you need to know is the minimum SNR sensitivity and the output-power.

It is nearly impossible to predict the propagation in an unknown environment with obstacles.
