Yes, but this is not the original OpenWRT.
ImmortalWrt and X-WRT is a fork of OpenWrt , with more packages ported, more devices supported, better performance, and special optimizations for mainland China users.
Compared the official one, we allow to use hacks or non-upstreamable patches / modifications to achieve our purpose. Source from anywhere.

It’s an issue because you assume a feature that does not exist? There are no multiple boot partitions; except uboot itself.

4.5.6 crashes

I see there is a new snapshot on the Gl iNet MT6000 download page, its carrying the same 4.5.7 number but dated 22.02.2024, the beta is dated 04.02.2024 not sure whats changed, as usual, theres no release notes.

GL.iNet download center (gl-inet.com)

Testing that one right now, right now router it’s behaving the same way, let’s see

Edit. still can’t change the country, I guess we still using the mediatek sdk

From what I have seen, every day they take a new snapshot

It’s an automated build, I hope they do/say something about this disaster on the MT-6000. I’m looking at their new device and it looks like they went back to QC chipset

That’s interesting

I think they’re gonna keep using MediaTek though, the Bery AX has a MediaTek chipset and it works great, I’ve only had a minor issue, I don’t have a lightning fast fiber connection but I haven’t spotted the 2.4GHz issue on that model

Does 4.5.7 have latest drivers from MediaTek ? Tbh these crashes are a little bit annoying on 4.5.6

Yes
4.5.6 have an open source driver

But it’s still 21 not 23 Openwrt I tested the 4.6 beta on my B AX and it had 2.4 issues as well

Yeah, but honestly even though I would like it to be OpenWrt 23 if they fix those issues based on OpenWrt 21 with the closed source driver I don’t mind that much

I agree, many will not just because of the EOL of 21

I can do something about these errors?

So I have my new Flint 2 running stable and fast. I have gigabit speeds over AX Wifi running on channel 128, but only in LAN with iperf. On WAN I only get around 450-500 mbit/sec. I’m using PPPoE connection to my ISP ONT. What would causing the bottleneck? htop shows that HW offloading works, also I get full gigabit over WAN to LAN wired.

Its hard to know exactly therefor i need to ask some questions:

  • which firmware?
  • cable quality (like CAT6a) and range?, any other devices in between like a switch or other router?

I have seen most people test these huger speeds from wireless, the lan ports are limited to 1gb/s it is possible it gets lost due the cable length and what it needs to travesel, the wan is only 2.5gb/s, you can try iperf3 on the cli from the router itself.

For fw 4.5.7 i noticed on OpenWrt forums somebody said 2.5gb nic drivers are not in there, i guess that makes sense since 2.5gb nics are kinda new and experimental in upstream OpenWrt, but maybe its backported or mediatek themselves added it, so i don’t know this for sure.

I’m on 4.5.6 but I don’t think it’s a cable issue because I get LAN - WAN wired gigabit speeds, LAN - LAN wireless gigabit speeds, but LAN - WAN wireless will be capped out at 500 mbps.
