Flint 2 (MT-6000) - MAC addresses are not all kept

Hello,

New user with my flint 2 for one month now but not newbie with home routers. Excuse my english who is not my native language.

I have some trouble with fixing the IP of my device in the LAN section. Some of them are set and works properly but some of the device desappear from the list. I have already set it 2-3 times.

In this screenshot, I have some device fix on the IP after 192.168.8.123, like 192.168.8.124, etc. They have disappear.

Some of the device who desappears are not in the list but have the setting and use the IP I fix and others not and I use a random IP given by the dhcp. I'm a bit confuse by this random behaviour.

In the luci setting pages below. We can see somme examples

Thanks for your help

Please check if these devices used a new MAC address to connect to the router.

If this is the case, the router will regard this device as a new one.

For example, on iPhone there is an option "Private Wi-Fi Address". There are three choices:

  1. Off
  2. Fixed
  3. Rotating

Most mobiles and tablets have default random private Mac address for privacy.

We have some iPhone and iPad on which I have already disable the ability to have random mac adress.

It's not devices that can fake mac adress as far as I know . There is a Nintendo Switch, a canon printer, or a cooking robot (thermomix) for example.

The most weird is that the setting will be keep during some days. But, I don't know why, they seems to desappear after a certain amount of time.
