I bought the GL.Inet MT6000 Flint 2 to replace my old Fritzbox. Now I have a problem with the setup: the interface is connected, but no Internet connection is available. I entered the data in the PPOE basic mask, and the data is correct because it was taken from the functioning Fritzbox. I have also set IPv6 to native. I already tried rebooting.
Here is some additional information that may be important:
Fiber optic internet FTTH
No public IPv4 address
IPv4 via DSLite
I use my ISP's ONT modem (Genexis FiberTwist-P3410B)
My ISP is citykom (local internet provider from Germany)
Maybe someone from this community can help me solve this problem. Thanks in advance.
My ISPs customer service told me that i don't have to configure any VLAN. In my previous Routers settings there was also no VLAN configured.
I already tried to clone my FritzBox's MAC, sadly without success.
I don't know about that, I tried some standard ones (1480 and 1492) but these didn't work. I also didnt find any in my FritzBox's WebUI vor the manual sheet Form my ISP.
Currently I use my Fritzbox in “bridge mode” (ipv6 passthrough or how its called) but I really don't love this method, even if it is working.
thanks a lot for the suggestion. It worked and I now have full internet access with my Flint 2 Router via my ONT device.
I had to install the pkg via SSH, but still connected via PPoE. It auto created the DSLite dual and WAN6_4 DHCPv6 interfaces needed for AFTR (would only work automatic since I had no AFTR-credentials).
The only downside is, that the GUI still shows that I dont have Internet connection, which tbh. isn't a big deal.
Thanks for anyone who contributed to this thread and helped me find the solution.
