Hello everybody
i thought to upgrade from flint because it became slow and some devices do not connect, saw flint 2 pics but it appears also has no power switch.
why is that?
these routers maybe not the most expensive but why save few cents on power switch?
Who needs a power switch on a router? Just pull the plug.
the one who asked needs.
nothing else to say go back to where you came from
Agreed

Yes. What OP might not realise is that few cents in a mass produced product is a lot of money and there’s no good reason to make your customers pay for that. Moreover because you can easily use the switch in your power strip.
And who turns their router off anyway? That button is only ever useful for reboots.
Good idea, I have tp-link now only because it has power switch, I found much easier to flip switch than unplug cable which usually fits very tightly and is not easy to access.
Kind of funny to see two trolls jumping to save few cents gl-inet and for what?
I think all higher end routers have power button.
I believe Tp-link was actually cheaper than Flint, it is no cost to manufacture.
I noticed sometimes power cycling or even leaving off for few minutes works better
All the Asus, Netgear, TP-Link, D-Link and Linksys routers I have owned always have/had a power switch. The Flint and probably the Flint 2 cost as much as some of these. I prefer a power switch over pulling out the plug. Power strips have multiple devices and turning of its power switch off would turn off all the devices.
I do not work for and I do not have formal association with GL.iNet
We’d rather put the effort in other places than adding power switch.
Worth trading the space for the extra ethernet port.
I guess that means it takes a lot of effort by the clever engineers in Shenzhen? Seriously???
I suppose they are not as clever as the clever engineers in the other router companies.
Lol, geez, I think it’s fine without a power button.
