Flint 2 Ping Reply option

I just bought the flint 2 from amazon, i have update the firmware and did a firewall test on GRC shields up for any open ports and i got a result of ( Ping Reply: RECEIVED (FAILED) — Your system REPLIED to our Ping (ICMP Echo) requests, making it visible on the Internet. Most personal firewalls can be configured to block, drop, and ignore.) I was looking in the system setting and could not find any option to disable ping reply like other routers. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance

System > Security > Allow Ping from WAN

Here a picture of the results.

I check the setting and it shows its off, i went and turn it on and test it again and still got the same results.
Is it possible for this to be a bug?
I tested my old Netgear router and the ping test it show stealth in the results so this only happens with this router.

Thank for the help and the quick reply.

Is the Flint your only router or is it behind another one?
Tbh this test does not look very trustworthy.

Maybe you should try from a different device like your cellphone (using 5G instead of Wi-Fi)

Permanently disable ICMP / ping replies

To disable ping requests permanently, add this line into your /etc/sysctl.conf file:

net.ipv4.icmp_echo_ignore_all = 1

And reload sysctl’s policy by # sysctl -p.
