Flint 2 shows synology NAS on and off client list

New user here.
Bought a Flint 2 early this month and I can't figure out what might be the cause of this behavior:
I have my ISP router in bridge mode and my Flint 2 is taking care of my home network. Everything works fine ( I have WireGuard Server enabled; AdGuard enabled; SQM enabled on both Wi-Fi and Ethernet connections).

I only have three wired connections: My PC; a Mercusys mesh access point; a Synology NAS 920+.

Everything is working fine. My Flint 2 only has one wireless network, with only a second PC connected. A second wireless network is provided to all other clients by the mesh system.

The ISP router is providing Internet to the ISP TV android box and VoIP phone.

So...everything is working fine. I can access my NAS like I always did using the ISP router. No clients have any problems accessing the network and even both my Pc's have no buffer bloat.

The ONLY thing that is very weird is my NAS getting on and off the clients list on the Flint 2. I mean, every few seconds it gets on and off the list. I even tried to check if when off the list i would lose connection on a local massive file transfer to the NAS. Everything works fine. The NAS behaves normally.

If i connect the NAS to my ISP router it gets registered and never comes off the client list.

The problem still persists if I have the NAS on a static IP or not. With or without DHCP on the NAS.

Is there any reason for this behavior?

I have the latest stable firmware (updated when i first connected the Flint 2).

Sorry for the poorly technically formulated question. I have a very short knowledge of Networking, but always get things working with a bit of research.
Thanks

UPDATE: after flashing the router 3 times with 3 different firmwares, the problem persisted.

The router simply kept registering the NAS on and off. On both NAS LAN ports.

Some days ago, I solved an issue for a friend that was about to buy a new power supply for a Lenovo Yoga. As I'm old as f... I told him to clean the contacts on the power supply. It magically worked.

With that in mind, I proceeded to clean the NAS LAN ports with a cotton swab and some alcohol.

It worked. The NAS is solid registered on the Flint 2.

Some old tricks still work...glad it did work because I was about to return the router.

I've experienced something similar with one of my Terramaster NAS units. I use them exclusively as PLEX servers, one for movies and the other for TV shows.

The TV show NAS has been rock solid so far (knock on wood), but the movie NAS is a bit flaky. It'll show up in the client list one moment and vanish the next.

What's even weirder is that the IP address keeps changing right before my eyes, flipping between 192.168.241 and 192.168.245 repeatedly.

If I had enough hard drives to back up the whole collection, I'd go ahead and reset the NAS.

In the meantime, I'll definitely check my sockets and give them a clean, thanks for the tip!

Try it. Hope it gets fixed as mine did. Rock solid now.
