Flint 2 - Switching Between Powerline and Wi-Fi?

Hi GL.iNet Community,

I’m using a Flint 2 as a repeater since my modem is in the basement (rental property, no access to coax upstairs). I also have powerline adapters for a low-latency connection to game on but they have terrible bandwidth.

So I’d like to set up the Flint 2 to:

  • Use powerline Ethernet for gaming devices (low latency).
  • Use Wi-Fi repeater for everything else (higher bandwidth).

Is there a way to do this with the Flint 2 UI, or do I need a more manual setup (e.g., OpenWrt configs)? So far the most promising option I've seen is PBR but I don't have any experience with it.
Any advice or recommendations would be great!

Thanks!

The router does not support multi WAN and routing policies.

It can only do failover or load balancing. You can set up load balancing to see if anything is good.

What I suggest you try something semi manual.

  1. Set up Ethernet and Repater connection at the same time
  2. Set up failover and use Repeater on top of Ethernet. When you game, disconnect repeater.
