Flint 2 - TLS - Certificate

On Flint 2, the OpenVPN configuration with TLS doesn’t:

  1. create the proper Client Profile (missing key authentication info)
  2. the config setting doesn’t appear to recognize that the authentication mode is: Username/Password and Certificate.
  3. When I upload Profile, it states it’s successful but no profile is added and it states msg below.

  1. I worked with ChatGPT and it stated that the himac setting is 3 but should be 2. We tried changing but no luck. This all seems very deep to need to reconfig basic router settings.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

RESOLVED - It appears the Flint 2 OpenVPN Authentication Mode must = “Certificate Only”, otherwise, the exported Client Profiles when using modes: “Username/Password only” or “Username/Password and Certificate”, don’t create the client profiles with the correct info.

Hi,

When you upload an .ovpn file, if it requires a username and password (either alone or together with certificates), the router will automatically prompt you to enter those credentials before the VPN connection can be established.

The username/password fields will appear on the same page where the prompt is shown. Once the required information is entered, the configuration will be complete and the VPN client will be ready to use.
