Flint 2 won’t connect

Hello,

I replaced my old Apple airport Time Machine with a Flint 2.

The Flint 2 won’t connect to spectrum, what can I do to fix this?

  • Which router (which model?) are you using?** - GL-MT6000
  • Which firmware version is in use?** - v4.6.2
  • How is your router connected to the Internet?** - By cable via a modem (standard Arris Surfboard SB6141) owned by me
  • Which DNS server do you use?** - local one
  • Do you use DHCP or static IP addresses?** - DHCP

Hi,

May I know if is the MT6000 connected the modem (SB6141) but MT6000 cannot obtain the IP from modem via DHCP?

Please let me know more detail info of the issue, thus, help to check this.

I reached out to technical support and they responded. I cloned my MAC address and that worked. Thank you kindly.

Rolo81, I am having the same problem. Which MAC address did you clone? The cable modem's MAC? Your old router's MAC? Thanks

Always the routers one. If you clone the one from the modem there won't be any connection.
