It’s been well-covered here - you just need to read through the thread. If you ever want your router to get updated with later GL firmware, you’ll need to accept the current radio limits as these are legally correct, with additional gain from the antennae to be factored in. As said multiple times, this router was likely over-powered to start with and has been corrected at the firmware level to remain compliant.
