Got a brand new Flint 2, Set it up on Friday night and now I am getting loads of these errors with WiFi sometimes dropping out 3 times momentarily today.
These logs are messages printed when the router receives malformed packets from nearby devices.
In general, they do not cause any issues and are usually not related to Wi-Fi disconnections.
Regarding the Wi-Fi disconnection issue, could you please clarify and provide the following:
What exactly is the symptom? Is the Wi-Fi connection between the device and the router dropping, or is it only a temporary loss of internet access?
Does the issue affect all devices or only a few specific ones? If it is only a few devices, please let us know their brand/model.
Please export the device logs after the Wi-Fi disconnection occurs and send them to us via private message for further analysis. If possible, also include the MAC address of the affected device so we can better check the logs.
Thanks for the reply, Well so far it hasn’t done it again since for the last few days so I am not sure what it was.
When that was reported I was getting an ! exclamation mark on my WiFi clients reporting no internet access briefly but then it recovered, It did it about 3 times that but hasn’t done it since but there was nothing wrong with my internet connection as I checked the LED’s on the ONT fibre box when it went off and also there was nothing else reported in the log regarding WAN connection dropping or anything like that.
Would that be interference from an electronic device or a cable maybe? As I am using the exact same cables which I had connected to the previous router with no issues.
If it does it again while I am at home I shall send the logs as requested thank you.
This error message is typically associated with interference from nearby devices. We have not observed any cases where it was related to the Ethernet cable itself.
As for the issue, since the Wi-Fi connection does not appear to be dropping and only Internet connectivity seems to fluctuate, please also run the following commands the next time the issue occurs. The results may help identify what the Internet access problem is related to:
# Windows (Command Prompt)
nslookup google.com
tracert 8.8.8.8
# macOS / Linux
nslookup google.com
traceroute 8.8.8.8
Yes I did not think it was anything to do with the Ethernet cable as it is a high spec cable and is quite new anyway and did not give me any issues on the previous router.
The router is close or behind a TV I should so maybe this could be causing it, I will see if it possible to relocate it elsewhere at some point thank you.
