So, trying to get my apple tv hd and homepod mini to act as hubs so I can record from my aqara g3 camera to icloud. Nothing I've tried works. I've done the igmp snooping on and tried every version, no dice. Tried with it off, no dice. Disbled network acceleration. No dice. Turned off adguard handle client requests. No dice. Turned off bssid reandomization on 2.4/5g bands. No joy. Now I go where I shouldn't 'cause not really know what I'm doing. Used LuCi and made sure snooping and querier were on and rebooted and powered tv/homepod off for a minute then back on. No dice. Added @@||apple-dns.net^, @@||icloud.com^, @@||apple.com^, to adguard filters in case they were being blocked. No dice. Installed avahi mDNS reflector and enabled it. Still no dice. This is all I get in home hubs & bridges: no connected, no standby, just dead.
Hmm, I have been looking up this in the Aqara app honestly I don't think this is possible.
Atleast not as a eco system connection, only google home devices and a few other eco systems like amazon.
Aqara is often extremely strict about locking devices behind their own hubs, especially for zigbee devices.
Now I also read that the G3 got recently a update for Matter bridge ?
Matter deffinetly can help opening the closed eco system more, but then my question remains do your apple tv 'hubs' use matter as a controller?
I also readed through the awnsers of ai the camera will not work as a supported matter device, it solely can act as a bridge to pass zigbee devices on the matter network.
So it comes down to me that I'm a little confused about this, in my own home I also have a G3 but if I try to add it as a matter device just via the selection instead of qr code i neither see a option on the Aqara M3 for cameras.
If I get the time I go check if my G3 comes with a QR code, honestly I bought this camera before they even added matter like features.
My suspicion is that the ai is right, and basically the G3 is extremely limited to matter or using half matter, in a form of only being supportive as a bridge because the camera skeleton model code does not exist in matter.

For this setup, could you please start with the following simple topology:

- Connect the HomePod mini, Aqara G3 and iPhone to the Flint 3 Main Network. The Apple TV can also be connected to the same Main Network and added to the same Apple Home.
- Set up the HomePod mini in the Apple Home app and check Home Settings → Home Hubs & Bridges to confirm that a Home Hub becomes available.
- When the Home Hub is available, add the Aqara G3 to Apple Home using the HomeKit setup code on the G3.
- Open the G3 settings in Apple Home and configure the recording option for HomeKit Secure Video.
For this test, keeping these devices on the same Main Network will give a clear baseline. Once this basic setup is working, you can then add the rest of your network configuration back as needed.
If you are willing to give this setup one more try, please let us know whether the HomePod mini can become available under Home Hubs & Bridges and whether the G3 can then be added successfully to Apple Home. We would continue helping you narrow this down.
