I'm planning a network using two Flint 3 routers in a small house and want to set up a mesh network with wireless backhaul (no Ethernet between them). One router is wired to the modem, and the second needs to connect wirelessly—preferably using WiFi 7 (6GHz) for the backhaul.
I've checked the latest firmware v4.7, but I don't see any EasyMesh options in the admin panel.
Does the Flint 3 currently support EasyMesh, or is it planned for an upcoming firmware release?
If not, what's the best way to run both Flint 3 units on the same SSID with seamless handoff?
I've seen mention of repeater mode, but I'm looking for the best performance possible with a wireless-only setup.
Would appreciate any insights or roadmap info on full mesh support for Flint 3. Thanks!
Are their any updates to this topic? Having bought 2 Flint 3 routers I'm very disappointed to not be able to create a mesh. I have a wired ethernet backhaul so currently have one flint 3 as a router and the other as an ap. Both have separate sides as having them the same is causing too many drop outs when switching. Is there another way to achieve this and retain one logical network?
With the Slate 7 + Flint 3 bundle, I see that you can cover big places in a similar way as the Mesh arrangement. How many Slate 7 can the Flint 3 handle? Could it be that you get 2-3 Slates 7 connected to 1 flint 3?
