My VLAN setup broke after upgrading to firmware 4.10, which provides UI support for configuring VLAN (thanks GL-iNet).
Sharing a finding that may help anyone extending Flint 3 guest Wi-Fi to remote OpenWrt access points over Ethernet.
After a recent GL-BE9300 firmware update, the web UI showed guest VLAN 9, but swconfig dev switch1 show revealed VLAN 4002 tagged on the LAN ports. The router’s guest bridge also used eth1.4002.
My remote OpenWrt Deco M5 allowed Wi-Fi connections but clients received no DHCP address. Changing its guest bridge VLAN to 4002 and its guest interface device to br-lan.4002 restored DHCP and internet access.
This is verified for my upgraded configuration, rather than a claim that all Flint 3 routers use 4002. Does GL.iNet know whether the UI/switch mismatch is expected or an upgrade migration issue?
