Flint 3 vs Flint 3e

Now that both models are available, which one do you think makes more sense for the user?

Let’s remember that in terms of specifications they are exactly the same except for:

Storage:

  • Flint 3: eMMC 8GB

  • Flint 3e: NAND 512MB

Wi-Fi:

  • Flint 3: 688 Mbps (2.4 GHz) MIMO 2x2, 2882 Mbps (5 GHz) MIMO 2x2, 5765 Mbps (6 GHz) MIMO 2x2

  • Flint 3e: 688 Mbps (2.4 GHz) MIMO 2x2, 5764 Mbps (5 GHz) MIMO 4x4

Personally, I’m concerned about the storage topic—how does it affect things that one has 8GB and the other only 512MB?

Regarding Wi-Fi, is the Flint 3e better because it’s MIMO 4x4 even though it doesn’t have the 6 GHz band?

What do you think?

It depends on your use case. If you need lots of space for extra software, I wouldn’t go with the Flint 3e. However, if the storage isn’t an issue for you and you care more about speed on 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz, the 5e is a superior option. IMO, most people should care more about 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz than 6Ghz right now. Very few devices actually use 6Ghz and its range is not great.
