Flint2 error log

Hi there

I recently purchased flint2, updated to 4.9.0.

Set up pppoe with vlan.

Changed DNS server to a locally running Adguard home server.

Added nordvpn client with domain policy based routing.

Installed LuCI

Added a firewall rule for home assistant to access iot network.

I don't think I changed more settings.

In the logs I see the following multiple times.

kern.err kernel: [27039.388002] 7986@C14L1,PeerPublicAction() 944: Wrong Wcid:1023 !!! need to check the root

I don't know if it's related, but also having problem with wifi clients, after some time or when i leave and return home all devices (android/Ios) can not connect anymore. Either reboot or disabling/enabling wifi fixes it…

Regarding your issue, could you please help clarify or test the following?

  1. When the issue occurs, are wired devices affected as well, or does it only affect Wi-Fi devices?

  2. When the issue occurs, please export the router logs and send them to us via private message so that we can investigate further.

  3. If you have an opportunity, could you also try v4.9.0-op24 and see whether the same issue occurs?

i have disabled the wifi 5ghz and the policy based routing.

now wifi devices dont have problems connecting.

still seeing the error in the log.

i sent you the log file

EDIT / UPDATE:

i restored factory image, and tried to set up one by one and checked the logs.

it seems the problem is in the IoT WiFi.

When i disable the IoT WiFi the error logs are gone.

Thank you for providing the logs and sharing your findings.

We asked our R&D team to check the logs, and they confirmed that this error is caused by a compatibility issue between the 802.11 public action frames sent by some wireless client and the Flint 2 wireless driver.

Could you please confirm the following?

  1. Were any devices previously connected to the IoT network?
  2. After disabling the IoT network, do these devices work normally on the Main / Guest SSID?
  3. Have you previously edited any wireless-related settings via LuCI or SSH?
  4. If you encounter the same issue on the Main / Guest SSID, does switching to the OP24 / OP25 firmware help?
