The version op24 4.8.2 has been released.
Is it possible to update from op24-4.8.0 while keeping the settings?

Regardless I'd make a backup of your existing conf via LuCI -> System -> Backup / Flash Firmware before attempting.
I just did the same upgrade path, keep settings no problem so far.
(new options are found under Luci –> Network –> Interfaces –> Global Network Options )
How it's behaving? Stable enough?
@gfondeur so far it’s like butter, all the weird dns issues I had with WG and the priorities not being respected reliably are GONE! I very much hope the op24 becomes their mainline firmware for the F2/BAX
I updated from 4.8.0-op24 to 4.8.2-op24 on my Flint 2 about 15 hours ago.
I made a backup in Luci and kept settings.
I had to add back some software via Luci - eg Wireguard, Openvpn, Samba4 etc
All working well so far.
Sweet……..
just made the move to go from the normal 4.8.2 to this 24 version. Reset everything, so build it up from scratch ..Everything smooth, and the syslog seems a lot more quiet
Love this open24 !
How is wlan performance bwcause of opensource drivers ?
Here's one data point. I wouldn't expect any downgrade just because of a dot release but that's speculation. I'd guess it's be more of a matter of the capabilities of the connected client device by the looks of this WLAN benchmark of 4.8.0-op24:
I upgraded from 4.8.0 op24 to 4.8.2 op24. All working fine. But in the mobile app on Android, noting is displayed in the Upload/download traffic section of the clients. The web interface displays all values.
May I know are you referring to the glinet APP?
Please take some screenshot for the APP interface and the Web UI?
Hello Bruce,
Yes it is the Glinet app. Here a screenshot:
And here the info from webinterface:
Thank you for your help.
Well, actually i do have issues. All phones and ipads work on wifi 5 en 6, but i have 2 media players , 1 wifi 5 and one wifi 6 that only see the 2.4 wifi?
They both worked before on the normal 4.8.2 FW
How about the display in GL GUI Client page?
not sure what you mean, but both media players ( different brands) can’t see the 5 ghz SSID.
They can see the 2.4 wifi, but also that does not work 100 %.
Strange enough all ipads and phones have zero issues with the 5 ghz SSID.
i rolled back now to the normal 4.8.2 , and all is fine. So something is fishy with that OP FW?
I am also able to reproduce this issue, will submit it to the R&D team for check and repair.
Thank you for your feedback!
Oh, sorry, I misunderstood, I thought it was the clients (media players) able to connect to 5GHz WIFI, but Luci page did not show their WIFI connection status.
It may be that some wireless parameters (such as channels) in the op24 firmware but the clients are not supported, or there is a problem with the open-source wireless driver.
Since back to closed-source v4.8.2 is normal, please continue to use this firmware.
nope, both MP’s do not show up in luci, they just are not able to see the 5 ghz SSID. i tried changing channels and such, but def a no go.
