I would like to handle all my data traffic via VPN.
However, there are some websites or programs that cause problems when VPN is activated.
Therefore I would like to whitelist individual websites or my email program.
The remaining data traffic of all connected clients should proceed to run via VPN.
Here my question:
Is there a simple way, without much configuration effort and knowledge to achieve the following:
(1) All data traffic of all connected clients is handled via VPN
(2) eMail-program or websites can be entered on a whitelist for which no VPN is used
With the “Global Proxy” setting, you can only set VPN everything or VPN nothing.
So what's the correct configuration for this requirement ?
But it don't think that's the solution for my problem.
My WIN10 PC got one fixed IP-address. With the mentioned option, the whole PC could only be black- or whitelisted.
Due to the fact, that the eMail-program has no separate IP-address and it's also no domain it's not clear to me, how to white- or blacklist this program with my WIN10 system (with a fixed IP address).
If you want to control individual applications on your machine, you will need to use something like proxify for that. The router is not aware of applications on your machine or applications using TLS to encrypt the connections. You need to find another way unfortunately.
But your e-mail program will connect somewhere. Just whitelist this domain - would solve the issue. That's how I route many of my services to not use VPN.
