GL-AR300 - Can I extend my Wifi using ethernet from Router and keep onn same subnet?

Hi,

I have a GL-AR300 connected via Ethernet to my main router. I want to either create a wifi hotspot (using the same SSID as my main one) or extend the existing wifi (again, with my GliNet connected via a cable for speed).

It's working at the moment, however the IP addrress that connected devices get are on the 192.168.8.x subnet which means they can't see printers or anything else that is on my main routers subnet of 192.168.1.x

I just want my son and daughters rooms to have decent wifi, be on the main subnet but use ethernet to connect my main router and GliNet as it's quite far away.

Put it into Access Point mode. It will then take an IP address from your main router and be on the same primary subnet.

How do I do that? I only have Ethernet, Repeater, Tethering, Cellular as options showing in the App?

I'm currently using Ethernet (because my GL is connected via ethernet cable to my router)
I then have a second Wifi SSID setup that people to connect to.
They get Internet access but the subnet is the .8 subnet.

Go to Network and then Network Mode. You can choose Access Point there.

That worked thank you. For anyone else, that option doesn't show up in the Android app, I had to use the web version.
