GL-AR300M Red LED light

Hi

Just took delivery of the GL-AR300M. Everything seems to be working fine but I am just wondering what is purpose of the red LED light which either stay on or flashing. It does not seem to go off at all. Is this some indication of hardware or network problem?

The right (red) LED indicate the current status of WiFi. If WiFi is on it should light up. If you have data transmission, it should flash.

Thanks. Didn’t see that in the manual. I thought red usually associated with some problem.

right, we will change all the red LED to green later.

Hi @alzhao what about blue for the WiFi LED instead? It is easier to tell which is active from a distance than it being all green LEDs.

I think Blue is good. But there is a serious debate in our team about this.
