Hi, my main router does not have a USB port for file sharing. Can the GL-AR-300M16-Ext be setup to do this duty?
I have it all setup and configured with an NTFS hard drive plugged in, but I get not USB drive options in the UI.
Thank you.

Hi,
The AR300M16 has limited internal flash storage (16 MB), so it does not support official network storage or NAS functionality.
However, if you only require basic file access, you can install and configure lightweight services via SSH, such as WebDAV.
OpenWrt provides a suitable guide here:
Please note that the device’s hardware resources will limit performance and stability, so this approach is recommended only for light use cases.
The AR300M16 includes built-in driver support for NTFS. However, if you encounter any issues with compatibility or stability, we recommend using ext4 instead, or exFAT if you require cross-platform compatibility with Windows and macOS.
