GL-AR300M16-EXT Wireguard server and AccessPoint

Hi,

I want to configure a GL-AR300M16-EXT to be a wired (cable ethernet) Access Point and also run as a Wireguard server.
The plan is to provide better WiFi coverage and to provide remote access to the main ISP router ( a Nokia HUB) and network .
I would also like to have the WAN port to operate as a LAN port so a remote PC can be plugged into the AR300M16.
I have read through the GLiNet resources and the searched the web with no luck. Would someone be kind enough to advise if this is possible ?
Many thanks,

James

It seems does not support in GL firmware, the VPN features only work in router mode, AP mode only for wireless coverage, there is not any routing and advanced features.

I have found that if you want to do things outside the scope of the GL iNet firmware, you are better off putting generic OpenWrt on the router. I use AR300M routers as VPN servers running multiple VPN services, with multiple protocols on multiple ports, running on OpenWrt 23.05 firmware. My initial attempt of this was on GL iNet firmware, but my current version is on OpenWrt, which was much easier to setup and run.

The AR300M works great with OpenWrt 23.05.x.

Actually if you only use as wiregaurd server, using luci to configure is not difficult.
