any updates? I have 4.3.6 and when I try to install .18 it fails every time.

I've seen the beta for the mango v2 and it seems they are going to update also the ar750S-Ext there is not time/beta firmware at the moment.

I'm waiting to see if they can fix the DNS resolution while using VPN that is a common issue.

v4.7 firmware for AR750S now is available: GL.iNet download center

What’s the plan for Creta? Unlike slate it’s still supported, so what/when can we expect for creta? Thanks

First, @johnz and @alzhao thank you. I genuinely did not expect the AR750S to receive any support beyond the 4.3.x firmware

Now for the tough question: this beta firmware. Is it going to become production? If so, how long will it be supported? The AR750S is well past its official end-of-support date. If GL.iNet expects users to invest time and effort into testing this beta, it is only fair to know whether there is a real plan for supporting the AR750S on 4.7.x going forward.

Last month, I stopped relying on my trusty AR750s, and powered it off. Knowing it was beyond its end-of-support window and that 4.7 firmware would likely never arrive, I replaced my AR750S with a non-GL.iNet router. My new router has been performing exceptionally well and is meeting all my needs.

That said, I am open to putting the AR750S back into a backup role, BUT only if GL.iNet can provide clarity on its firmware support roadmap for this device. Myself and the broader user community need to know: does GL.iNet plan to support the AR750S meaningfully, or is this beta just a one-off

Per this link, the Creta, which I also own, went past its official support period last month:

True, but given slate went eol first, but is getting this new update one would now expect creta to follow suit.

Eventually the firmware need to be in release for AR750s. If not then the beta is not worth the effort.

Awesome! I'm glad that your team is still showing their love of the CES 2019 Innovation Awards Honoree router. THANKS!

I just updated my AR750S Slate to the 4.7.2 beta, and both the GL and Advanced LUCI GUI sure seem a tad-bit snappier to me. I just wish it had enough memory to run ADGuard though.

I was able to install gl-AdGuard using the gl-sdk4-adguardhome and gl-sdk4-ui-adguardhome onto the AR750S Slate running the 4.7.2 beta firmware. I was then able to toggle AdGuard On through the GL GUI and get to the AdGuard Settings page.

However, I cannot toggle the AdGuard switch back Off in the GL GUI after toggling it On and I cannot toggle the AdGuard Home Handle Client Request On either after turning On the AdGuard switch. And the GL GUI doesn't show any Dashboard updates at all. So, the GL-AdGuard GUI is just stuck after AdGuard was enabled. And I could not uninstall AdGuard through the GL GUI since there was no way to turn AdGuard Off in the GL GUI. However, I was apparently able to uninstall the gl-AdGuard through the Advanced LUCI GUI though, but after rebooting when I re-installed it, gl-AdGuard was automatically turned On in the GL GUI.

On the other hand, the AdGuard Settings Dashboard page GUI is updating, and I can Enable/Disable AdGuard on the AdGuard Settings Dashbaord GUI. The AdGuard Settings General page GUI options that I select On or Off, like parental control, are working too.

So, gl-AdGuard is basically working on the AR750S Slate except for the AdGuard GL GUI page. I added about 10 custom filtering rules, and here is the memory usage with just AdGuard installed and running with nothing else installed or enabled like VPN.

I think is enough for such old hardware, and is fine to me. Nevertheless is everything working fine!

Just installed the new 4.7.2 beta, took me an hr to figure out why it wouldn't work. The .tar and .img file is backward in the link. The uboot file is a .tar and the common update is a .img file.

Hi! Thanks for this release! I want to note that for me, this firmware causes significant WiFi5 download speed degradation. GL-AR750S-EXT was tested five times with each firmware on different test servers, using an iPhone 13 and the iOS SpeedTest app. WAN port was connected to a GPON 1 Gbit ISP ONU terminal. It is a complete clean firmware test with a clean, default factory router config state.
last stable firmware 4.3.25 - WiFi5 Down 240-260Mbit/s and Up 220-240Mbit
(Update without keeping settings)
beta 4.7.2 WiFi5 - Down 80-90 Mbit and Up 130-150 Mbit
After rollback to 4.3.25 - WiFi5 speed restored to initial state.
Do we have any chance to get a stable version of this firmware with bug fixes?
