GL-AX1800 Cellular No SIM Detected

I am using a HUAWEI E5885 that can function as a USB Modem, and want I connected to the GL-AX1800, but it says:

Your SIM card is not detected. Please check whether the card is inserted in the correct direction and the contact is good. The Modem doesn’t support hot-swappable SIM card. If you re-insert the SIM card after boot, please Reboot Modem or reboot your router.

The USB modem is detected as a HUAWEI E3276 but the one I have is the HUAWEI E5885. I am able to select a manual setup but I don’t have what I have to change to make It work.

According to the tip, USB modem has been identified, did you follow the steps of the tip to check?

Hi why do you mean with follow the steps of the tip? I did not understand.

Hi,Have you checked with this tip?Your SIM card is not detected. Please check whether the card is inserted in the correct direction and the contact is good. The Modem doesn’t support hot-swappable SIM card. If you re-insert the SIM card after boot, please Reboot Modem or reboot your router.

The SIM card is already detected by the HUAWEI E5885 I have 4g signal. Also I rebooted both the modem and the AX1800 router. But it indicates the same.

The commands used by each modem to obtain the status of the SIM card are different. For modems that glinet has not matched, many messages may be incorrect, so you can ignore it and try to configure the connection directly.

That’s way I did, buy when I press auto setup nothing happens, just connecting…

Turn on Manual Setup and select ttyUSB0 to connect, as is the case with most Huawei modem.

@carvacs Did you resolve this? I purchased a AX1800 and am also using a Huawei modem however running into the SAME issue.
