GL-AX1800 Flint1 as WDS Bridge

The Flint 1 is currently configured as repeater/extender (over wireless).
It is running Vanilla 4.8.x FW.

Upstream, I am monitoring traffic using ntopng, however, every devices connected to Flint 1 shows up as Flint 1, instead of individual device’s mac.

I asked Deepseek how to get around this, it told me to configure it as WDS Bridge over wireless backhaul.

The configuration manual doesn’t look like this is an option, what should I do instead?

WDS mode can be enabled under Admin Panel → Network → Network Mode.

In addition, please note that WDS compatibility across different chipset brands and device models is generally not very reliable, so it may not work well with your main router.

In such cases, there may not be a good workaround. You may want to consider using a wired backhaul and running the device in AP Mode instead.
