I've been testing the router for a few days now and I can't find a way to get this to work for more than 10 mins at a time. I've cloned my phone as a connection to a private paid network in my dorms. Completely cloning device name and mac address. The original connection is never the issue but staying connected whether the thing reboots over and over, or it just loses connection to the Internet but stays up on the repeaters network. Looking over logs any of the times, it never shows anything changing when it just randomly stops internet connection and when it gets into reboot loops I only have the option of completely wiping in order to fix it.
Hello,
- Is the firmware version of AXT1800 v4.7.0?
- Is the router LED flashing blue?
- Is the repeater to primary WiFi with multiple APs (different BSSIDs) and the same SSID?
- How do you read or get the log if the issue reproduce? Is there any syslog content about this issue?
- If the issue reproduced, only restart not reset the router, can it work and the repeater connection works normally for a period of time?
#1 Yes, it's on V4.7.0 "Firmware Type release8"
#2 Sometimes yes and others no. When it starts disconnecting and restarting a lot it ends up blinking, but the time when I first turn it on and it is connected and stable for those 10 mins its solid. Today I also experienced it being in a state of connected but no internet was available, yet the light stayed solid.
#3 The primary Wi-Fi has multiple BSSID's, and they all end up using the same SSID. There is a specific AP in my dorm room and in basically everyone else's.
#4 I got some of the logs when it started disconnecting today during a test

#5 When it starts disconnecting, I restart it then continues to work for a short period of time then reverts back. When I've had the reboot loop issue my only choice that worked was holding the reset button for 10 seconds.
Hello,
Thank you very much for the information.
May I know will this issue improve if the AXT1800 is downgraded to v4.6.8 (without "keep settings")?
