GL-AXT1800 with VPN frootvpn no internet connection

Hello, I have a Fritzbox and connected the GL-AXT1800 via WAN. Until a few weeks ago I was able to establish a connection using OpenVPN as normal and everything worked.

Recently, as soon as I activate VPN, I can no longer connect to the Internet. My cell phone says "Connected, without Internet". I can access the router, I have read a lot and tried to change things, but nothing helps. I can no longer access the Internet with an existing VPN connection. What else can I do?

Everything has been working fine so far, I think the error has been since one of the last firmware updates, could that be it?

Router GL AXT1800 v4.6.11 Kernel 4.4.60

Same Problem with Fritzbox and Axt1800.
Wireguard connect between them. VPN ist active.
Client behind axt1800 Says "No Internet".

Now i tried a downgrade to 4.6.8. now it Works fine without Problems. Client behind axt1800 can use the Internet

You have to use the tar File. Dont unpack

That was the mistake, downgrade complete. Vpn works at the Moment, thank you. Change to 4.6.8 was the solution

Hello all,

We d like to know about this issue and solve it:

  1. AXT1800 upgraded to v4.7.0?
  2. WireGuard client of AXT1800 is connected to WireGuard server of Fritzbox.
  3. "Connected" can be displayed on the AXT1800 VPN dashboard, but it cannot be connected to the Internet, right?

Then we d like to understand that when the AXT1800 WG clinet is started, SSH to router,

  1. Check the WireGuard client interface IP ifconfig, whether the IP exists, please take a screenshot.
  2. Check the route table ip r, is there a WG route? Please take a screenshot.
  3. ping the Fritzbox server tunnel IP (gateway): ping <x.x.x.x> (like ping 10.0.8.1), please take a screenshot.
  4. If it is convenient, please share the wireguard client profile to us through PM. I want to check the problem locally.
  5. Please share the issue syslog with me through PM.

Hello, I don't have Wireguard.

I have a Fritzbox and am connected to the AXT1800 with the LAN cable via the WAN connection and have a connection to FrootVPN via OPENVPN. After one of the last firmware updates, the internet connection no longer worked, but was shown to be active.

Hence the firmware downgrade to 4.6.8 and now everything works with the OPENVPN file via FrootVPN as before. I do NOT use WireGuard.

Please solve the problem somehow, so I'll stick with firmware 4.6.8 for now
