GL-B3000 Marble high CPU utilisation observations

Hi all,

As a very happy user of a Beryl I decided to take advantage of a Black Friday deal and buy a Marble router for the house, to gain some of the excellent features of the Beryl.

After setting it up and looking at the settings I noticed that the CPU usage of the router was very high pegged at around 2.0 and not moving. This seemed very high indeed, especially as not much was happening on the network at the time.

Today I did an experiment and turned off network acceleration, a few minutes later CPU usage was practically at 0. Turning it back on and this is what happened:

Turning it off again does this:

So there's little doubt that something to do with hardware network acceleration is causing the high CPU usage. My question is whether this is expected behaviour and if so why?

Many thanks!

Simon

I've reproduced it and am checking it.

Thank you.

Update:

Checked.
The system load increases because the data forwarded is in the hardware acceleration module for processing, but the CPU load is normal.

This is normal situation, and it doesn't affect any features and network status.

Which firmware version are you on?

I'm on 4.5.19 without AGH enabled:

And as a comparison, here's my Parents Marble with AGH enabled plus WiFi disabled as they have wired WiFi APs and are on a cruise at present:

So my Parents Marble literally has nothing on the network at present apart from Smart Heating and three Access Points, and after the spike of me logging in it's cpu is going down.

Neither of us are at the 2.0 you are hitting though.
