The strange thing is, now they both seem to be hitting speeds of around 350Mbps each.
It's really odd though because when I had the Beryl setup here last time, it was consistently hitting around 400-500.
I'll leave them both setup so you can take a look at least. Perhaps your engineers will spot something.
The speed on the Slate isn't bad by any means btw, it's just that when I was testing it previously, the Beryl seemed faster every time. It's just typical that now I set it up for you they seem to be hitting the same speeds!
I have the exact same problem, even though I updated to 4.7.2, issue not resolved. I have super slow speeds in repeater mode. I have Slate AX (GL-AXT1800) that is setup in exact same way which works without any issues, but Slate 7 is unusable due to slow speeds.
can confirm this also, repeater on the BE3600 runs much worse than on my AX3000, maybe 300-400 mbps slower in some instances. Both on latest firmware — both factory reset with no VPN or anything on, just straight out the box with repeater to same network (not both on at same time).
Please share your routers with us via GoodCloud, both the Slate AX + Slate 7, and AX3000 (Beryl AX?) + Slate 7, please put them at same one place which the same distance as the primary router WiFi.
In addition to the above repeater keeps connected, if possible, please connect another WAN for Slate 7, such as Ethernet or Tethering.
As when troubleshooting the Slate 7 repeater, we may disconnect and reconnect the repeater. During the disconnect process, the GoodCloud remote of Slate 7 can still be connected through another WAN.
