I’ve spent the last couple of days troubleshooting an issue with my Mudi 7 and I think I’ve found something that’s reproducible. I’m hoping someone from GL.iNet or Quectel can confirm whether this is a known issue.

I’m using a Scancom/floLIVE UK multi-network SIM (GigSky APN: gigsky-02). I also have a native EE SIM in the other slot for comparison.
Initially I was having the well-known “No SIM” issue that has already been discussed on the forum. I followed the recommendation to change the modem from 3GPP Release 17 to Release 15 using the AT commands from the forum post. That change worked perfectly and the modem now reports that it’s running in R15.
After doing that, everything became much more stable. The Scancom SIM automatically connected to EE and I was getting around 137 Mbps download, so I thought everything was sorted.
Out of curiosity I decided to see how the SIM performed on each UK network by manually selecting the operators using AT+COPS.
EE worked fine.
Three worked fine.
Vodafone also appeared to work.
However, every single time I try to manually register on O2 using:
atcmd 'AT+COPS=1,2,"23410"'
the modem eventually becomes unstable.
The sequence is always the same:

The connection drops.

The web interface starts reporting “No SIM card”.

The screen on the router also reports “No SIM card”.

Both SIM slots suddenly appear empty.

Internet access is lost.

AT command responses start behaving strangely (sometimes returning the response from the previous command instead of the current one).
At that point the only way I’ve found to recover it is to completely power the router off and back on.
After reboot, both SIMs are detected normally again and the Scancom SIM reconnects to EE without any issues.
I’ve now repeated this several times and it happens every time I manually select O2. It doesn’t seem to happen when selecting EE, Three or Vodafone.
I also confirmed that the Scancom SIM itself isn’t restricted to EE because running AT+COPS=? shows all of the UK networks (EE, Vodafone, O2 and Three) as available.
I’m not saying the AT+COPS command is at fault—I believe it’s a standard AT command—but it looks like something in the modem firmware isn’t handling this particular registration attempt correctly.
Has anyone else seen this behaviour with the RG650V-EU?
If anyone from GL.iNet would like any additional logs or if there’s anything else you’d like me to test, I’m happy to help as I’ve been able to reproduce this consistently.
