GL-GT3000 router timzone different from browser warning

I'm having trouble with timezone sync, here is my setup:

  • GL-GT3000 stable firmware 4.5.16 as wifi repeater
  • Windows 11 Pro lastest and fully updated
  • MacOS Sonoma 14.5
  • Brave Browser: 1.67.116 (Lastest)
  • Chrome Browser: 126.0.6478.62 (Latest)

I would like to add more info, when I click the Sync button then Router time become UTC+0 like this

Running the following commands in browser console return results as following:

Intl.DateTimeFormat().resolvedOptions().timeZone

3

and

new Date().getTimezoneOffset() / -60

4

Here are my settings in Windows Date & Time

Please help !!! Thank you

The router syncs its time from the Internet. So make sure that the router can connect to the Internet (NTP servers) after setting the corrent time zone.

The warning you are getting is a javascript (JS) check locally in the browser. If you use Brave browser, it has some security settings that prevent the JS from getting the computer's timezone. Use any other browser and see if the warning is gone.

Hi, forgot to mention I used Brave, Chrome (default settings) on PC and Safari (default settings) on my Macbook. Same result, I can use internet with the Beryl as repeater but can't sync time correctly like I said.

Just set the right time in luci then. There is no need to sync the time using the sync button.

I did set the time in Luci but the warning is still there...

Yeah, because the browser timezone is different from your routers one.
Asia/Hi Chi Minh isn't Asia/Saigon

Just ignore this if the time is the correct one.

I see, actually Saigon is the old name of Ho Chi Minh city.

I'm also facing the same issue. The warning is still there.

Just ignore it. Seems that the time zone names are not correct.

Ok. Any way to fix it? Thanks.
