GL-iNet AX1800 OpenWrt firmware

I use DNS Hijacking on my Guest/Work network’s to force using the AGH/Pihole servers regardless of what is set on the client.

DNS Hijacking might work on FW4 however would need to convert the iptables rules i be to nftables rules.

However waiting on IPQ60xx series to be in qcommax on openwrt master now before i have another mess about fully.

Will still make the odd build here and there like as well.

Greetings solidus,

Is there a list where all the packages names are present which differs from the official vanilla openwrt?

Jeva there is no Offical OpenWRT vanilla build yet as its not in the master.
For now there is only community builds, however the IPQ60xx SOC has started to be put into OpenWRT’s master branch.

So its only a matter of time.

The builds i supply are from OpenWRT master and then patched up to support the SOC, so all the packages are from OpenWRT etc so in terms of your question if its in OpenWRT its the same as what i supply.

Right new snapshots are up and is based on Kernel 6.1.78 from openwrt. Normal spot

SNAPSHOT BUILDS

If you could test the Wireless would be grateful

I got a AX1800 today with official 4.5 firmware. I tried to flash your latest snapshot R25257 ubi image via Uboot. I waited about 10 minutes before I power cycle it. The router still boot up with the official 4.5 firmware. It seems the router wont take the ubi image. I tried two more prior version and they are same issue. The uboot version in the AX1800 is uboot2.0 version:21.08.31.

Hi,

How i can disable fan on AXT1800 ?

(using on battery on a cold environnement)

thanks

Can anyone comment on the reliability of the 6.1.78 Kernel builds? I’m looking to move away from the clunky outdated GI firmware to vanilla OpenWRT. GF and I both work from home, so stability is pretty important, I have a Flint2 on my Starlink running the snapshots and it seems to be pretty stable overall on Kernel 6.1.x.

Updated uboot bin file to get rid of the factory uboot.

I have 6.1.78 for a day. Not too bad. I haven’t seem any problem yet.

openwrt.ai What’s it? Who tried it

How did you do that ?

You should try this.

Nice work @shi05275 on the LUCI fan app.

Thanks for the update, if wouldn’t mind updating after a few more days how it’s been? I’ll probably upgrade later this week.

@solidus1983

Any idea if repeater mode on DFS channels has been fixed?

Hello Solidus,

Restarting of wifi still happens, I have tried with older version r24247 and current one r24920.
Disconnecting of wifi have different affects on 2 different phones.

Both on wifi6, both have static IPv4 and IPv6 via SLAAC and with device mac address.

  1. Motorola edge 30 : It disconnects and connects automatically after 5 seconds or so.
  2. Oneplus 7t : It takes around 30 seconds to a minute to connect.

As of now i saw the system logs and kernel logs. nothing was mentioned or i forgot how to check.

And other thing i found that ttyd sometimes just doesnt show up the screen until i restart the router. SSH works normally.

This I found but dont have enough knowledge to understand.

Wifi would turn off sometime.

thanks for the reply,

how i can use this ? (noob inside)

I am looking for a way to install strongswan or libreswan. The gl-inet 4.5 is missing dependency iptables-mod-ipsec. I searched and couldn’t find a version in any openwrt repository that will install. I looked in the @solidus1983 manifest but didn’t see this package. Just wondering if it is possible to do?

I will ask guys to check this package for firmware 4.5
