solidus 1983 Is it normal the Luci is slow to fill screens?
First Status takes 30 sec.
Thanks. I’m just running a basic router setup so far. Firmware is working well with good 2.4 and 5 Ghz wifi throughput and no issues. I have also built my own firmware image from your GitHub repository with no issues. Anything in particular you would like tested?
Greetings!
daemon.info hostapd: phy1-ap0: STA xx:xx:a8:9f:2b:xx IEEE 802.11: deauthenticated due to inactivity (timer DEAUTH/REMOVE).
unsure if this happens to my specific device, but this happens while using the device proactively.
for example: watching youtube video… poof wifi reconnects.
Or sometimes have to turn off the wifi and turn it back again.
Disassociate On Low Acknowledgement
this has been turned on right now, and max transmit power is driver default(20 dBm).
Please guide me if i am doing anything wrong.
When I was running the gl.inet firmware, I saw this same on the 2.4 GHz wifi on AXT1800 for one client device that was the farthest from the AP and occasionally for a few other clients. I never had to restart wifi though. I did try changing just about every timeout setting in the wifi advanced settings and they had no effect. I recall searching the internet and saw others Since this happened when I used the gl.inet proprietary firmware and other people have seen this with hostapd/ath10k, I think the @solidus1983 customizations probably is not the culprit. Just basic stability testing, to catch what bugs remain.
WiFi stability as that’s on a new firmware blob too.
Oh kernel fan control should just work when it hits a trip it should simply start the fan.
Apologies but i meant turning off and on wifi on mobile itself. But initially i did restarted the router.
follow up question : is there other alternative for hostapd?
As i have only this installed from solidus’s image
hostapd-common 2023-09-08-e5ccbfc6-6
I’m not expert but I don’t think there is an alternative. I don’t know if it’s possible to install an upstream package, or if there are even any revisions that would help. .
i cant set up ipv6 suffix, along with it doesnt remove “:” from DUID while doin advance ipv6 things inside DHCP
you should have also wpad installed as well.
Either that or my build config is that broken things are missing.
Unable to execute opkg update command: SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected end of data at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data
This shows up now and then as well while updating packages through luci
DNS starting offset value, are you talking about DHCP start and ending thats in the DHCP area in networking.
Nope the hardware doesn’t support 160Mhz on Wireless only 20/40/80.
As for hiding the option it used to be hidden but it looks to have been unhidden that might change later…
The issue is Wireless Blobs nothing we can do.
Secondly the link you added is for kernel 4.4.60
I got DHCP working ok but I had to fall back to old router after GL WIFI failed after 24 hrs and would not come back after cold restart.
Is the wireless still not working ?
I am waiting for a new router with full Openwrt support.
No more testing for Gl
The Flint2 got full OpenWrt support.
For now you can not simply because only community based build such as my own are the only ones available.
I take it there is an issue with my server?
There is a PR in waiting for master branch of OpenWRT so shouldn’t be long now.
