Hello i´m new here in this forum. I need help with my GL-A1300 with tailscale.
I would like put this router with exit node but i can´t do it into admin console. I have putty but i can´t acces in the router. Ip and password are same? I have always a message denied. Someone know how can acces from windows and putty?? Sorry for my english and thank you
Hi,
Please refer to this guide:
IP is your router LAN IP, default is 192.168.8.1
Username is root
Password is your router GL Web UI login password
1. Verify IP Address and Password:
- Default IP: Most GL-iNet routers use 192.168.8.1 as the default IP address.
- Default Password: Check the router's documentation or label for the default password. If it's been changed, you won't be able to access the router.
2. Check Firewall Settings:
- Ensure your PC's firewall isn't blocking PuTTY. You might need to create an exception for PuTTY.
- Temporarily disable your firewall to test if it's the culprit.
3. Access Router via Web Interface (If Possible):
- If you can access the router's web interface using a web browser, try accessing it first. This might provide more information or troubleshooting options.
4. Use SSH Instead of PuTTY (Optional):
- While PuTTY is commonly used, you can also try using SSH clients like OpenSSH, which might have different behaviors.
5. Check Router Configuration:
- If you can access the router's web interface, check its network settings, especially the WAN connection. Ensure it's configured correctly.
6. Tailscale Configuration:
- Once you have access to the router, you can proceed with configuring Tailscale as an exit node. This typically involves installing the Tailscale client on the router and configuring it accordingly. Refer to the GL-iNet documentation and Tailscale documentation for specific instructions.
Thank you for your help but when i put the same password to login GL Web UI i have this message: acces denied
Please confirm if the password is correct?
Can it login the Luci with this password?
I can do acces with bitvise SSH client but few hours after i have this message and i can´t use the exit node again
Refer to this post to set up as exit node:
sorry but i´m so noob using commands
This is my ips wich is the command exactly? can you paste the comand with wich ips and where? Thanks a lot
Enable the exit node feature requires you have simply Linux foundation, which required to do some configuration it in the SSH.
Please learn to it from some Linux SSH guide in Google, it is not too difficult.
