GL.iNet GL-MT3000 does not start

Hello! I'm a happy GL.iNet user since I discovered your products.

I own x2 GL.iNet GL-MT3000.

This week upon arriving at my second home where one of the routers is located, I couldn't connect to the WiFi even if the LED was on. I unplugged it to restart the router.

To my surprise the router is not starting I thought that it might be the cable but the phone I have connected to it to have USB tethering was charging so it cannot be that, I've for now connected my travel router to that power outlet and to the phone and the network is back, but the router seems to be dead, I've tried leaving it for >10 mins and then connect it to power without any success.

Is there anything I can do? I believe it had the latest version and 3 days ago it was working just fine. Since it’s connected to my Tailscale network, I know it stopped working yesterday at this time:

However the led was on when I arrived but I didn’t check if it blinked upon powering the first time to be honest.

I believe it has the latest stable version since I try to keep things up to date, what are the options to try to bring it back to live?

Thanks a lot in advance :folded_hands:

Your only option may be to RMA it if still in warranty.

Hi,

You can check the LED status when powering on the GL-MT3000.
For MT3000, solid blue means the system is booting, slow flashing blue means searching network, rapid flashing blue means firmware upgrading, and solid white means working normally

If the router does not boot normally, you can re-install the firmware by using U-Boot failsafe.
Please try U-Boot recovery by following this guide:

You can download the GL-MT3000 firmware here:GL.iNet download center

If it still does not work after the U-Boot.You may need to contact our CS team for after-sales service:
