Hello,
Can the GL.iNet GL-SFT1200 (Opal) work like a traditional router in static IP mode for the WAN connection?
I need the ability to set the following for the WAN through an Ethernet port:
IP, subnet Mask, gateway, DNS (I saw these)
Thanks.

GL GUI → Internet → Ethernet → [ Modify ] → Ethernet Settings → Static
… but it makes far more sense to apply a DHCP Reservation on the Upstream device/router to map to the Opal’s WAN MAC.
Agreed. If you set it on the downstream then if the ip is unavailable it won’t connect. Set the ip on the upstream device as that is the device that allows the ip regardless.
Thanks everyone for the replies.
The issue we have is that this is a company network and this is how they allow us to connect.
I didn’t see the option to modify Ethernet settings but will do an update to the router software and then try again.
*Edited for clarity
In the worst case, you should be always able to set the static IP using luci
After updating the software I was able to see these settings and get it working. Thanks.
