GL.iNet Marble GL-B3000 - SSIDs and Guest Networks in AP Mode

I'm considering buying a few Marble GL-B3000 routers to use purely as access points. Before doing so, what is the maximum number of SSIDs that can be configured in AP mode? Can Guest networks be used?

My main router is an Asus router flashed with Merlin firmware. I can run up to 6 additional SSIDs, not counting the 2 standard 2.4/5Ghz channels.

If I can get away with running a total of 3 SSIDs then I should be fine. I've had frustrations with other APs that do not even allow Guest mode at all in AP mode which I really don't understand why.

Appreciate the help. Thank you!

The AP mode only supports one SSID by default, which is connected to the primary network (br-lan) via the network cable.

It does not support guest WiFi, since the guest / multi SSID is required the VLAN, and it is not supported for the time being.

If you only require multiple SSIDs and not distinguish the network IP segment, you can manually modify / add AP radio at Luci > Network > Wireless, and bind with lan.

B3000 flashed with Vanilla Openwrt can have up to 8 SSIDs, and you can VLAN to your hearts content.

Hostle is currently upgrade to 6.6.71 while they work out why the PR merge has not happened yet.

Oh! I didn't know there was an OpenWRT image avaiable. I'll have to check that out. Many thanks!
