The supported RM520N-GL module is expensive. Are there other modules that are also supported, that are less expensive? Thanks.
But do you mean 4G modules?
RM520N-GL is 5G module.
RM500U-CN works with the GL-M2 5G board on the latest RM500U-CN firmware.
Not 4G module. I was thinking another 5G module (maybe x55) like T99W175. Would this work?
Thanks for the suggestion. I will look into this one. In reading some posts, I see that the RM520N-GL has different variants (RM520NGLAP) to avoid. For this RM500U-CN, anything to avoid and watch out for?
I'd stay away from the T99W175, it's got FCC locks and most of the ones available are shucked from laptops.
RM500U has a few variants, where in the world are you:
I'm in the United States. Looking at the brochure, looks like it only supports regions EMEA/APAC and Latin America. Hmm. Appears that I can't consider this one.
There's a spreadsheet here for what frequencies are covered.
Thank you for the additional info. ![]()
