Good Day Technical Support.

Can we check with if we can use security configuration for WPA-3 PSK for this model, can we get update the latest software update for WPA-3 PSK ?
Thank you

In normal circumstances it does not need a update for this , WPA3 is just a wifi encryption standard.
But if there is a vulnerability it will be fixed and in a new firmware or even backported, or the vulnerability was in a scope it can be avoided which OpenWrt does by default by using hunting and pekking instead of using hash to element, so if you refer to this OpenWrt already avoid it.

I don't have my MT1300 with me (holidays, yey) but maybe @bruce can check if the MT1300 does support WPA3?
Hai Xize11,
Thank you for your prompt response, our GL-MT1300 model doesn't have WPA3-PSK ?
Can we received it through firmware updates?
Thank you
Unfortunately i misreaded it for the mt3000 , but lets wait what gl-inet has to say
Hai and thank you for the response,
I found someone has WPA3-PSK in their GL-MT1300 model but we dont
Are you using the latest available firmware -> GL.iNet download center ?
There is WPA3-SAE in the MT1300.
Note:
There is not PSK in the WPA3, WPA3 Personal Edition replaces the PSK authentication method of WPA2 Personal Edition, which uses a pre-set shared key, with the more secure SAE (Simultaneous Authentication of Equals).
Guess that is what confuses @mhafizula88 here?
Thank you unfortunately for some reason our Main IT network specialist still using WPA3-PSK for wifi security
Their SSID still using WPA3-PSK, Thank you
Probably some devices still support the WPA3-PSK, but the SAE is more secure than PSK. Thanks.
Thank you and noted, so it is not possible to have WPA3-PSK for this model
In most cases, the router which uses WPA3 can speak WPA2 as well, so maybe you can try to connect using WPA2 instead.
Hi Admon,
We was wondering if GL-MT1300 can connect to hidden network?
Thank you
Dear Technical Support, Bruce
I wonder if we can connect with the hidden network for GL-MT1300?
Thank you
Should be no problem.
