GL-MT2500 (Brume 2) Wireguard Server HELP

Seeking to setup a Wireguard Server with the Brume 2.

Current network setup:

(EDIT Brume actually attached to Switch)

AT&T BGW210 (Passthrough enabled & WiFi turned off) :arrow_right: NETGEAR Orbi 970 (Providing WiFi and all IP addresses for the entire network) :arrow_right: NETGEAR switch

Orbi router's IP is 10.1.2.3

Brume 2 Default Gateway: LAN IP 192.168.8.1

Brume 2 IP assigned from Orbi router 10.1.2.10

When I go to change the Brume 2 LAN IP address from 192.168.8.1 to 10.1.2.5 I get the error message from the Brume 2 "LAN subnet is in conflict with the WAN subnet, Please Change LAN Subnet to a different address"

I can only connect to the admin panel if I directly plug into the LAN on the Brume 2 which gives me an IPv4 address of 192.168.8.166

You need to open ports in the MT2500 firewall

If you have connected the Brume 2 WAN -to- the Orbi 970 LAN, you obviously shouldn't configure the Brume 2 LAN to overlap with the Orbi 970 LAN range.

So what's your goal? You didn't say what you want exactly.

Let me guess, you may like this:

Just follow the "Some devices managed by the Drop-in Gateway" section, but forget about number three.

Yes, the Brume 2 WAN is connected to Orbi 970 LAN.

So I'm having overlap with the Brume 2 LAN and the Orib 970 LAN range?

:pushpin:Brume 2 LAN: 192.168.8.1
:pushpin:Orbi 970 Router: 10.1.2.3
:pushpin:Brume 2 (on Orbi network): 10.1.2.10

The Brume 2 is currently on the Orbi network with the assigned IP of 10.1.2.10 but I cannot ping 10.1.2.10 device.

I port forwarded the Brume 2 10.1.2.10 on my ISP AT&T router.

Did I port forward the wrong IP address? Do I need to port forward the Brume 2 LAN 192.168.8.1 instead of 10.1.2.10?

I want to setup a Wireguard server on the Brume 2.

I already gave all you need. Just do as I said and everything will be solved.

I don't want to enable the Drop-in Gateway feature on the Brume 2.

Enabling the Drop-in Gateway feature doesn't mean you have to use it as a Drop-in Gateway. Even though, if you just don't like it, there's no easy way to do that on the GL UI.

I think the reason you don't like that feature is just because you didn't understand the feature yet. There's no downside if you just do as I said.

I don't know why are you asking, if you're going to refuse the solution without any reasonable reason. But I'll respect your decision. Good luck!
